About Us
Scouts are do-ers and give-it-a-go-ers. Yes, we go camping, hiking, swimming, abseiling, cycling and canoeing. But we also get to hang out with our friends every week – having fun, playing games, working in a team and taking on new challenges.
At St Francis Scout Group, we prepare young people with skills for life. You can learn survival skills, first aid, cooking and even expedition skills that can lead on to Duke of Edinburgh Awards. It’s a great way to have fun, make friends, get outdoors, express your creativity and experience the wider world. There’s something for every young person, whatever their physical ability.
We believe in bringing people together. We celebrate diversity and stand against intolerance, always. We’re part of a worldwide movement, creating stronger communities and inspiring positive futures.
There’s No Better Time To Join The Adventure
It doesn’t matter whether it’s you or your child who wants to join us, or even if your child is of joining age yet or not, because you can sign up now and ensure they are allocated a place when it becomes available.
Our Dedicated Adult Volunteers…
Makes us one of the largest, luckiest, and most family-friendly Groups in the District and with the Association’s training scheme, we are a highly-skilled bunch of people too. But we need help. Check out our opportunities to see how you can help.
Made for Adventure
Adventure is at the heart of everything we do. It is the single most important thing that sets Scouts apart. Through the everyday adventure of Scouting, young people and adult volunteers regularly experience new challenges that enrich their lives.
